I just crossed the 50,000-word mark, which means that I’m officially a NaNoWriMo 2011 winner! Big smiles!
In fairness to the art form of the novel, however, I’d like to be clear that these 50,002 words are in no way a reader-ready draft. That’s going to take at least another month of editing. At least. Still, the fact remains that I wrote 50,000 loosely-related words in 26 days.
Thanks for the memories, NaNoWriMo! Now back to real life.
